Student: Yogi Anoop, I've been struggling with a constant overload of excess thoughts and an overwhelmed mind. I feel like my senses are constantly pulling me towards external objects. Is there a way to find inner peace and calmness?
Yogi Anoop: The senses act as gateways to the external world, constantly bombarding our minds with stimuli. However, there is a practice that can help you find the peace you seek. It is called Space Meditation.
Student: Space Meditation? How does it work, Yogi Anoop?
Yogi Anoop: Space Meditation is a powerful technique that allows us to free the mind from objects or thoughts. It involves directing our attention towards the concept of space, which represents emptiness and the absence of solidity. By doing so, the mind gradually ceases its incessant thinking and contemplation.
Student: So, by focusing on space, the mind can actually find relief from its constant chatter?
Yogi Anoop: Absolutely. When we consciously shift our focus to the expansiveness of space, the mind begins to empty itself, even if only for a short period of time. It creates a space within ourselves where the mind can rest and find respite from the overwhelming external world. Actually, by focusing on space, the mind tries to break the boundary wall of imagination. When it breaks the boundary of imagination, one can reach space.
Student: That sounds intriguing, Yogi Anoop. How does Space Meditation help us in the long run?
Yogi Anoop: Through regular practice, Space Meditation allows us to detach ourselves from the bounderied image and turn inward. Actually, the mind is habitual in living in that bounded world. It is always creating shapes and colours. But through space meditation, it becomes a journey of self-discovery and inner transformation. As we delve deeper into our consciousness, we cultivate a state of inner calmness and clarity. This positive influence extends to our overall well-being.
Student: It sounds like exactly what I need. How can I start practicing Space Meditation?
Yogi Anoop: I'm glad you're interested, my student. To begin, find a quiet and comfortable place where you can sit in a relaxed position. Close your eyes and bring your attention to the concept of space. Imagine the vastness and emptiness of space, letting go of any thoughts or distractions that arise. Allow yourself to rest in this expansive emptiness, experiencing the tranquillity it brings. You can also take help from my podcast, which includes guided space meditation.
