Affirmations are positive statements or phrases that are repeated to oneself with the intention of changing negative thoughts and beliefs into positive ones. The idea behind affirmations is that by repeatedly stating a positive statement, the mind will begin to believe it and make changes in behaviour and attitudes accordingly.
Some people find affirmations to be helpful in changing negative thought patterns and achieving personal goals, while some spiritualists like Yogi Anoop don't find it to be effective. If someone repeats any phrases in the same way, it means the pattern of the brain will become addictive. Mind is so powerful, if the mind becomes patterned with phrases, along with that unnecessary thoughts start coming to mind.
It's important to note that affirmations alone may not be enough to change deeply ingrained patterns of thought and behaviour. They can be used as a tool to support other forms of self-improvement such as therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy or other forms of psychological treatment.
Additionally, the effectiveness of affirmations may depend on the individual and the specific issue they are trying to address. For example, affirmations may be more effective for individuals with mild to moderate levels of anxiety or depression, while they may not be as effective for individuals with severe mental health conditions.
Furthermore, affirmations can be useful if they are specific, realistic and make sense to the person using them, they also have to be repeated consistently and with conviction.
In conclusion, don’t depend fully on affirmations for changing behaviour . Behaviour can never be changed by repetition of any so-called positive phrases. It may give psychological benefits in the beginning of practice but this is not the full and final solution.
You need to learn to face the present issues, you need to learn how to handle senses etc .
