*The Bad Habit of Sleeping on Your Stomach: A Personal Experience*

Sleeping on your stomach might feel good, but it is extremely dangerous for your future! Your stomach is signaling that it is under stress. When the brain finds no other way to relieve this stress, it forces the body to sleep on the stomach. This bad habit of sleeping on the stomach can lead to many stomach-related diseases. Therefore, before going to sleep:

  • Start relaxing your sensory organs as soon as the sun sets.
  • Give minimal input to your eyes at night (reduce screen time to almost zero).
  • Feed your taste buds with foods that calm the mind and brain. In other words, the quality of your dinner should be high. If the quality is poor, reduce the quantity of food. This will prevent any problems.
  • Dinner should be completed before 7 p.m. If that’s not possible, make sure to walk for at least 30 minutes after 30 minutes of eating.
  • Do not rush while eating, especially at night. The more you savor your food, the more your mind and stomach will feel satisfied.
  • Keep your dinner quantity relatively small at night and focus more on satisfying your taste buds.
  • finally the most important this is ; 

Before sleeping, practice some pranayama that helps relieve stomach tension. While lying in bed, teach yourself to relax the muscles of both the brain and the stomach. In my experience, if one does this, they will not face problems related to Vata, Pitta, and Kapha (the three doshas in Ayurveda).
