Kundalini Sadhana & Ailments

Kundalini Sadhana & Ailments

Simply put, whenever the body is deficient in anything or needs anything, it gives out signals. When the body is dehydrated, we give it water. We eat food when we feel hungry and need to provide nourishment to the body. However, in Chakra Sadhana the body does not tell its need directly, there the mind is still. In this, the mind and senses are concentrated on any one chakra for a long time, naturally with that concentration the important glands located around the brain and chakras start secreting hormones. Pay attention, if the body needs hormones in the quantity that is being secreted during Chakra Sadhna, then it is beneficial, many diseases will also be resolved.

Just like if a thirsty person gets proper amount of water, then his thirst will be quenched, but if due to excessive concentration on the chakras in meditation, secretion of hormones starts happening in excess quantity, which is more than what is required by the body, then there will be a problem in the body and mind. There are bound to be side effects. Excessive hormones flowing inside the body, which are not required by the body in that quantity, are sure to cause diseases. Just like there is no need for water in a field, yet if water is being poured into it, then naturally the crops are bound to rot.

In my own experience, along with good feelings, the mind has to be used in spiritual practice. No matter how good you may be, if knowledge is not used, then Chakra Sadhana instead of the mind's samadhi makes it a samadhi of the body. Having a positive attitude is a different thing, but if any kind of food is put in a body in excess of the requirement, then despite having a good attitude, there is bound to be a disease. In spite of having a good attitude, you cannot avoid diseases.

Just like a first time mother is seen feeding her child with gusto. Mother's dream is that my child should become the strongest in the world. Keeping the same dream in mind, food is being packed. The mother does not realise whether the child's body requires that much food or not.

Now the child's body and senses are not strong enough to stop it. He is forced to swallow food and within a few years the child is seen to be mentally and physically malnourished, even stunted. The child's body doesn't even get a chance to express its hunger, the mother is just stuffing her child with food keeping a good feeling that the child will become fat and strong.

Exactly such seekers are seen concentrating more than necessary on the chakras in meditation while having a good spirit. Good feelings overpower the needs of the body, due to which the mind ignores the needs of the body. The mind starts imposing its imaginary desires on the body. The problem is that with the closing of the eyes, the mind is also closed in the meditation of the chakras so that the eye of knowledge opens. In the end, I’d just like to say that the mind becomes strong and calm when it is given food according to the needs of the body. The mind has to find peace in those needs only. Just like while eating food, the mind calms itself by experiencing the taste. Otherwise, these practices may start giving such problems that could confuse the brain. That's why most of the doctors consider such people as victims of mental problems and advise them to go to a psychologist.
