Is it better to speak quickly or slowly?

Is it better to speak quickly or slowly ?

Yogi Anoop explains that fast speakers and listeners rely on memorization, and cannot go beyond the scope of it. Speaking slowly helps to move beyond the scope of memorization and select words with greater understanding. People who speak quickly often lack practical understanding and tend to have suicidal tendencies. Their breaths are faster and jerky, which can lead to weak heart capacity and constipation. They become addicted to visuals and have trouble falling asleep. They also tend to have sexual frustration and may use sex as a remedy for sleep.

Student: Iis it better to speak quickly or slowly?

Yogi Anoop: Speaking slowly is always better. When we speak quickly, we tend to rely on memorization rather than understanding the words we are saying.

Student: But why do some people speak quickly all the time?

Yogi Anoop: Those who speak quickly often lack practical understanding and tend to rely on their memory to throw out words. Even they become addicted to visuals and have trouble falling asleep. They also tend to have sexual frustration and may use sex as a remedy for sleep.

Student:  But what if I need to convey information quickly, like in a work meeting or presentation?

Yogi Anoop: There's a difference between speaking efficiently and speaking quickly. You can speak slowly and still be concise and clear. In fact, taking a moment to gather your thoughts and speak intentionally can actually help you communicate more effectively.

Student: What can we do to avoid these problems?

Yogi Anoop: We should focus on understanding the words we are saying and take our time to select the right ones. When we speak slowly, we can go beyond the scope of memorization and express ourselves more effectively. We should also try to calm our senses and avoid visual addiction.

Student: What about breathing? Does speaking quickly affect our breathing?

Yogi Anoop: Yes, it does. Those who speak quickly have faster and jerky breaths, which can weaken the heart and lungs capacity in the future. It can also lead to constipation due to abdominal stress and tension in the diaphragm.

Student: What about listening? I feel like I have to listen quickly too, or I might miss something important.

Yogi Anoop: Actually, the opposite is true. When you listen quickly, you're more likely to miss important details or nuances. By listening slowly and attentively, you can absorb more information and truly understand what's being said.

Student: Interesting. So it sounds like there are benefits to slowing down both in speaking and listening.

Yogi Anoop: Yes, and it's not just limited to communication. When you rush through tasks like eating or breathing, you're not giving your body the chance to fully process and absorb what's happening. This can lead to physical and mental imbalances over time.

Note-

Remember, slowing down is not a weakness but a strength. By approaching life with intention and awareness, we can achieve greater balance and fulfilment. Slow and steady wins the race.
