It is extremely difficult to find a mix of imaginative and disciplined mindsets in the same person. Often, a person is either too fantastical or extremely disciplined and mechanical. Those who are extremely creative or imaginative find it difficult to adhere to discipline and vice versa.
The imaginary brain wants to get happiness only from mind-made fantasies without getting into the practical aspects of life. Such people gradually end up storing lots of expectations from people. In fact, such people are found going more toward healing and devotional worship etc. That is because all these ways indirectly teach reliance instead of practicality and discipline. Such people want to get disciplined but struggle to do so.
Our brain gets exceedingly exhausted when it takes up the flight of imagination and the only few ways to get rid of this exhaustion is through periodical napping or binge eating. Succinctly put, an exhausted mind makes a person eat and sleep a lot. And when a person tries to follow discipline, the idea seldom goes well with the brain, as a result, a person experiences mood swings, anxiety, anger, frustration and even depression.
Therefore, the only way to tame an imaginative brain is to push it toward practicality and discipline. Imagination and the world of fantasy indeed give instant happiness which is never possible on a person's journey to becoming disciplined. However, once the chatter is cut out and the mind becomes centred and disciplined, satisfying calmness sets in.
Discipline has so much power that the mind, brain and body use hormonal secretions in a very balanced way, and the result is that there is no mental distress. Even when grief comes, it gets managed very well and a person does not panic.
People with creative and imaginative minds tend to be active during the nighttime and find it difficult to sleep early. They try to become early bird but in vain. Remember, when the mind gets into a hyper-imaginative mode, it yearns to watch screens, therefore we find people mindlessly procrastinating and scrolling their social media feeds for hours. This means that there is motion inside the brain and their eyes should also see it outside. Such people also fall prey to midnight cravings.
Meals should be eaten by 8 pm, followed by something other than water
At night, you should pay more attention to the amount of protein, if you feel like eating sweets, you must do pranayama.
Do not look at the screen after dinner
Walk on toes for at least 10 minutes after 30 minutes of eating
Get in the habit of reading a book before going to bed.
One should do pranayama on the bed before sleeping.
In the morning, get up on time. Drink 2 glasses of water and walk on your toes for 20 minutes.
Whether there is pressure to defecate or not, you must sit on the toilet seat.
Do yoga pranayama for at least 30 minutes in the morning.
No matter what difficulties or adversities come, one must not tweak their routine. The monkey mind can be easily controlled if discipline is not abandoned, as a result, mood swings, depression, etc. can be avoided.
