Depression;Tied To Eyes & Tongue

How Depression is Tied To Eyes And Tongue

I have tried to underscore the connection between the Eyes and the Tongue with depression many times in my previous blogs. Just as the gut is said to be our second Brain and Calves the second heart, our genitals are like our second tongue. Gluttony often mirrors uncontrollable sexual behaviour or frustration as well. It is often said that if you want to discipline your life, begin by disciplining your food habits.

The excesses of the tongue are enough to throw our biological rhythm off-track which often results in anxiety and even depression. As we all know, poor gut health is closely tied to Mental Health and vice-versa. There are some people with such emotional nature that their senses quickly form a habit of any favourable and then addiction. Especially one gets addicted to form and beauty through the eyes and taste through the tongue.

Among the five senses, the eye is a sense that perceives the form and beauty of all scenes. It is the easiest way for a child's mind to increase its understanding. Concentration is mostly increased through the sense of sight. Even in Hatha and Bhakti Yoga, the method of increasing concentration is taught through form and beauty. But it should be limited to an age limit.

In my meditation experiential research, the more the mind takes on form and beauty, the more its taste senses are attracted to intensely sweet and sour items. One gets attracted towards food again and again. The only source of his physical and mental energy remains food through taste. And this type of addiction also starts creating sexual frustration.

99% of children's minds are limited to form and beauty and they like sweet and sour the most. Similarly, the sense of taste is very active in the devotees affected by Bhakti and Hatha Yoga. I have experienced that the mind and brain of a person can be evolved only up to a limit. In the future, it becomes the biggest cause of depression and stress; hampers digestion, evacuation etc and spoils everything.

Therefore, I suggest that one must turn inward and the sense of sight must be relaxed through meditation. Here are some ways to loosen the eyes, which must be practised by every seeker.

How To Relax Eyes & Sense of Sight

1-Close your eyes and try to loosen and relax

2-You can try to relax your eyes by feeling the breath

3-The muscles of the eyes can also be relaxed by pressing the jaws a little.

4- Try to loosen the pupils by slowly moving them up and down. Whenever you sit in meditation, first of all, try to relax your eyes. As soon as the eyes start to relax, the flow of visuals inside the brain will start reducing. The faster and greater is the flow of these scenes that are going on in the mind and brain, the greater tension it spells. As soon as the muscles of the eyes start to relax, the side effects of the scenes on the brain decrease.

Note, the more vivid and visual a scene is, the more attractive it is to the mind and these eyes feel like seeing the moving scene. Doesn't feel like looking at still photos. Always like to watch movies and moving scenes. He doesn't even feel like reading. Because the book is stationary while reading, there is no movement in it, so the eyes have to be made to move slowly. But when watching a movie, the determination of the movement of your eyes depends on that movie.

5- Practise Yoga Nidra and while exhaling, try to relax the muscles of the eyes. Although, no effort is required to loosen any part of the body, it just needs to be understood and learned by the Guru.

6- Also, try sticking your tongue to the palate for a while. This calms the taste buds and stabilizes the mind.
